What is hot shot trucking?
Hot shot trucking is a dedicated, expedited run. A heavy-duty pickup pulls a flatbed trailer, picks up your load and drives it straight to the delivery, with no other freight on board and no terminal stops.
// What we haul
Every service we run.
Pick your freight to see how we haul it. Up to 12,000 lb and 40 ft long. No hazmat.*
*We do not haul hazardous materials.
// Why White Raven
When hot shot beats a semi.
It cannot wait
A semi waits to fill up. A hot shot leaves with your load alone, so a down machine or a late part gets moving now.
It is too small for 53 ft
Paying for a full trailer to move one machine means paying for empty space. A hot shot is sized for loads up to 12,000 lb.
The site is tight
A pickup and gooseneck reach dealer lots, ranch roads and jobsites a tractor-trailer cannot turn around in.
You want one driver
Strapped down at pickup and not touched again until the drop. No cross-docking, no transfers.
// Real loads
Our trucks. Real freight.
No stock photos. These are White Raven loads.

// Lanes
Where we run it.
Based in Utah. We run 18 states across the Midwest, South and Southeast. We do not run California, Canada or Mexico.
// FAQ
Straight answers.
How is hot shot different from LTL?
LTL freight shares a trailer and usually changes trucks at terminals. Hot shot is one load on one truck, driven straight to the drop.
Is hot shot more expensive?
Per load it can cost less than a full semi, because the truck is smaller and you are not paying for empty space. Rush timing is what you are paying for.
What size loads fit?
Up to 12,000 lb on a 40 ft by 8.5 ft gooseneck deck.
Are you a broker or a carrier?
A carrier. White Raven runs its own trucks with its own authority, USDOT 3864367 and MC-1412688.
